Ashford University Students Collect More Than Three Tons of Food for the Victory Center
Successful Food Drive was Part of Ashford University Leadership Class

Ashford University students recently collected 6,620 pounds of food during their fall food drive as part of a community service project in the “Contemporary Issues in Organizational Leadership” class. The food drive, benefitting Clinton’s Victory Center, was conducted during the 15 weeks of the 2011 fall semester.

“The success of the food drive was based upon student participation and community cooperation in gathering the three tons of food,” said faculty member Dr. William Woods, who helped coordinate the project. “The students would like to thank Clinton area businesses, churches, Prince of Peace schools, Camanche School District and East Central Schools of Sabula for helping to contribute. The students would also like to thank the faculty, staff, fellow Ashford students, their family members, and friends for their contributions.”
