Ashford University Students Participate in National Conference
Jacob Hofer takes sixth place honors at national Phi Beta Lambda conference

Seven members of Ashford University’s Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) organization participated in the 2015 Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL) National Leadership Conference in Chicago June 24–27.

At the conference, PBL members from across the United States competed in more than 50 business, technology, and personal skill related competitive events, covering topics such as Financial Analysis and Decision Making, Cyber Security, and Job Interview.

On the second day of the conference, Stephanie Nessling, Byron Needham, and Rebecca Wolfe gave a presentation on the Ashford group’s community service project at Clinton’s Victory Center. The project advanced to the final round after placing in the top 15, but did not finish in the top 10 in the finals.

Ashford student Jacob Hofer, from Henry, Ill., participated in the final round of competition in two events, Social Media Presentation and Client Services. He took sixth place honors in Social Media Presentation.
