Ashford University has named 2011 graduate Linda Anderson its Outstanding Alum of the Week. Anderson graduated from Ashford with a master of business administration degree, supply chain management specialization – a degree she credits with advancing her career and inspiring her to further educational goals.
“My MBA opened the door for new professional opportunities with my employer,” said Anderson, who now works as an Operations Manager at a Kellogg Company plant in Battle Creek, Mich. “On a personal level, it also helped move me a step closer to obtaining my PhD.”
Anderson enjoyed the online education she experienced at Ashford so much, she is now enrolled in an online PhD program at Ashford’s sister school, University of the Rockies.
Anderson has already helped to inspire others to follow their educational goals, having influenced three people to enroll at Ashford. “I would tell anyone to enroll,” she said. “I would tell them my story and I would also offer to help them navigate through the system until they were comfortable on their own. I chose Ashford after researching 10 different universities. Comparing my wants and needs – tuition costs and flexible class schedules – I knew Ashford was the school for me.”
The Ashford University Outstanding Alum of the Week recognition was created to spotlight Ashford success stories and graduates who have used their Ashford education as a springboard to personal and professional achievement.
