Ashford University Designated a Military Friendly School by Military Advanced Education
Annual guide recognizes the University's military-focused flexibility, financial assistance, culture, and support services

Military Advanced Education (MAE) has named Ashford University a Top Military-Friendly University in its 2014 Guide to Military-Friendly Colleges & Universities. From community colleges to state universities, online universities, and nationally known centers of higher learning, MAE’s 2014 Guide to Military-Friendly Colleges & Universities provides prospective students with information about institutions that go out of their way to implement military-friendly policies in support of our men and women in uniform.

The 2014 Guide, which will be published in the magazine’s December issue and online at www.mae-kmi.com, assists potential students in comparing institutions based on features and benefits in the categories of flexibility, financial assistance, military culture, and support services.

Among the attributes considered in evaluating this year’s institutions for inclusion in the Guide were the flexibility of online learning options, affordability of tuition, extent of transfer credits accepted by degree level, and presence on military installations.

“Ashford University is dedicated to serving our nation’s military men and women and is committed to assisting them in their pursuit of higher education,” said Dr. Richard Pattenaude, president and chief executive officer of Ashford University. “Ashford University offers high quality online degree programs that combine engaging curricula with the power of technology.”

Ashford University provides military education benefits to all eligible service members and their spouses. The University's military grant also waives technology fees and pays for all books and applicable shipping costs for qualified military students. As of fall 2012, more than 20 percent of Ashford University’s nearly 78,000 students were enlisted in, and/or veterans of, the military.
