The list recognizes the top 20 percent of colleges, universities, and trade schools that are doing the most to embrace America’s military service members and veteran students and ensure their success in the classroom and after graduation.

The 2014 List of Military Friendly Schools^® was compiled through extensive research and by surveying more than 10,000 VA-approved schools nationwide using criteria, methodology, and weighting developed by an Academic Advisory Board. This year’s list criteria also incorporate a survey of more than 4,000 actual student veterans. Schools on the list offer military scholarships and discounts, veterans clubs, military credit, and other services to those who have served in the armed forces.
