Ashford University Participates in Remembrance Day National Roll Call on Veterans Day Weekend
More than 100 colleges and universities to remember those who serve, have served, and who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the U.S. Armed Forces

On this Veterans Day holiday, Ashford University joins millions of Americans and more than 100 colleges and universities nationwide for the Remembrance Day National Roll Call. In honor of the men and women of our country’s armed forces, the University will participate in today’s national “minute of silence” at 11:00 a.m. PST, which follows a weekend of special conversations honoring all veterans.

“Ashford University is thankful for the opportunity to take part in this year’s Remembrance Day National Roll Call,” stated Dr. Richard Pattenaude, Ashford University president and CEO. “Honoring the higher calling of the men and women of the U.S. military is a proud duty.”

Throughout the Veterans Day weekend, Ashford University used the University’s website, portals and social media sites to ask students, alumni and faculty who they are honoring on this Veterans Day. Many conversations ensued, fueled by heartfelt expressions of appreciation for our nation’s military veterans.

The Remembrance Day National Roll Call 2012 was sponsored by the Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA) Veteran Knowledge Community. All participating organizations agreed to observe the “minute of silence” at 11:00 a.m. PST on November 12 and to encourage the weekend’s larger discussion honoring all of America’s veterans.
