Dr. Richard Pattenaude, president emeritus at Ashford University, has been selected to serve as vice chair of the board and chair of the campaign cabinet for United Way of San Diego County. Dr. Pattenaude was elected to a two-year term.

“Dr. Pattenaude has been an instrumental leader on our board of directors, and we look forward to seeing him take on a greater role,” said Dr. Laurie Coskey, president and CEO of United Way of San Diego County. “We know his leadership and expertise will greatly enhance the effectiveness of United Way, and we are so fortunate and grateful to have such a passionate volunteer to help change the odds for children and families in San Diego.”

As vice chair of the board he will serve on United Way’s Executive Committee, and assist in general oversight and implementation of Board policies. As chair of the campaign cabinet, Dr. Pattenaude will lead a team of executive volunteers to help develop and deepen relationships with United Way’s top corporate partners and work to develop relationships with San Diego employers not currently partnering with United Way.
