Ashford University celebrated its fall commencement on Sunday, Oct. 13. More than 700 graduates and nearly 4,000 guests traveled to the Clinton, Iowa area to attend the graduation ceremony and receive their diplomas in person.
Ashford University graduated a total of 7,563 students since the University’s previous commencement ceremonies in May. Collectively, Ashford graduates earned 739 associate’s degrees, 5,046 bachelor’s degrees, and 1,778 master’s degrees. Ninety-nine percent of the graduates earned their degrees through Ashford’s online programs.
Educator, author, and businessman Stedman Graham provided the keynote address at Ashford’s commencement ceremonies at the iWireless Center in Moline, Ill. The ceremonies capped off a weekend of celebration which began on Oct. 12 with a variety of events for graduates and their families at Ashford’s Clinton campus.
“We were pleased to again welcome so many of our graduates to the area,” said John Ballheim, Ashford vice president/campus director. “We are proud of each of our graduates, their individual accomplishments, and what we imagine their future contributions might be.”
Ashford University’s commencement ceremonies are held semi-annually. The spring 2014 commencement ceremonies are planned for Sunday, May 4, 2014.
