Ashford University formed articulation agreements with 11 community colleges in the first quarter of 2014. With these articulation agreements, graduates of two-year institutions will be able to transfer credits toward a bachelor’s degree at Ashford University.
The colleges that entered into articulation agreements with Ashford University are Labette Community College in Parsons, Kan.; Everett Community College in Everett, Wash.; Frederick Community College in Frederick, Md.; Oakland Community College in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls, Idaho; Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, Pa.; Bellingham Technical College in Bellingham, Wash.; South Texas College in McAllen, Texas; Seward County Community College in Liberal, Kan.; Central Texas College in Killeen, Texas; and Centralia College in Centralia, Wash.
“Ashford University’s new articulation agreements will be a great benefit to all schools involved,” stated Mark Young, divisional vice president of academic and strategic partnerships for Ashford University. “With the opportunity to progress to a four-year degree, the students at these schools can begin their college education locally and finish with Ashford University.”
The articulation agreements between Ashford University and these community colleges demonstrate a commitment to increasing educational opportunities and enabling a direct progression for students transferring from a two-year institution to a four-year university.
