Six Community Colleges Form Articulation Agreements with Ashford University
Agreements will help community college graduates transition into a four-year university

Ashford University formed articulation agreements with six community and regional colleges in the second quarter of 2013. With these agreements, graduates of two-year colleges will be able to transfer credits toward a bachelor’s degree at Ashford University.

The colleges that entered into articulation agreements with Ashford University include: Merritt College in Oakland, Calif.; Skyline College in San Bruno, Calif.; Baltimore City College in Baltimore, Md.; College of Southern Maryland in La Plata, Md.; Carroll Community College in Westminster, Md.; and Vernon College in Vernon, Texas.

“These agreements are great for all students and schools involved,” said Mark Young, Ashford University’s director of academic partnerships. “It makes for an almost seamless transition to a four-year university.”

The articulation agreements between Ashford University and these community colleges show a commitment to increasing educational opportunities and enabling a direct progression for students transferring from a two-year college to a four-year institution.
