In a packed private reception this morning at the University Club in San Diego, Ashford University’s Forbes School of Business officially launched its speaker series with Forbes Media chairman and editor-in-chief Steve Forbes. In his presentation, Forbes spoke on the topics of business, economics, and leadership.
The speaker series is one of the benefits from the partnership formed last year between Ashford University and Forbes Media. Students at the Forbes School of Business will be invited to attend events and webinars featuring business experts from Forbes’ extensive roster of contributors.
“When discussions of an alliance between Ashford University and Forbes Media first began, one aspect I was most excited about was the chance for Ashford students to hear directly from the knowledgeable experts associated with Forbes Media,” said Dr. Richard Pattenaude, Ashford University president and chief executive officer. “It is a fantastic educational opportunity that will enhance the classroom curriculum.”
Forbes Media publishes Forbes Magazine, the nation’s leading business magazine and Forbes.com. Steve Forbes writes the “Fact and Comment” editorials for each issue of Forbes, is a four-time recipient of the Crystal Owl Award, and has authored several books on economics and leadership. In 1996 and 2000, Forbes was a candidate for the presidency of the United States.
