The Board of Advisors for the Forbes School of Business at Ashford University has announced the addition of Dr. Tamar Elkeles. A leading voice in the field of organizational learning and development, Dr. Elkeles brings decades of valuable knowledge and experience to the Forbes School of Business at Ashford University.
Dr. Elkeles is currently the chief people officer at Quixey, a Silicon Valley mobile technology company focused on providing users with easy access and engagement with the content and functionalities within apps. In this role, she leads all global human resources operations, including facilities and administration, corporate events, leadership and talent development, and building a world-class culture.
Previously, Dr. Elkeles spent 24 years at Qualcomm, where she served as the chief learning officer and oversaw the creation and implementation of the learning and development strategy for the company’s 31,000 employees around the world. Under her leadership, Qualcomm was named the Learning & Development Organization of the Year by Chief Learning Officer magazine in 2015.
Dr. Elkeles is also a published author, having co-written two books on the topic of learning and development within organizations. She co-authored The Chief Learning Officer: Driving Value within a Changing Organization through Learning and Development and Measuring the Success of Learning through Technology. In 2010, Dr. Elkeles was named CLO of the Year by Chief Learning Officer magazine.

As a member of the Advisory Board for the Forbes School of Business at Ashford University, Dr. Elkeles will provide support and counsel, serve as an advocate for the school, and help advance the University’s mission and interests.
