Ashford University has earned a spot on Diverse: Issues in Higher Education’s list of the “Top 100 Minority Degree Producers 2015.” The list recognizes the post-secondary institutions that confer the most degrees to minority students in the United States.
To compile the list, Diverse: Issues in Higher Education relied upon data sourced from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS). Rankings were determined based on IPEDS completion data for Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP) and race/ethnicity. Ashford University demonstrated a standard of excellence in retaining and conferring degrees to minority students – primarily African American and Native American students – in degree disciplines as varied as business, education, psychology, and the social sciences.
“All of us at Ashford take pride in the fact that we are making higher education accessible to such a diverse range of students,” said Dr. Richard Pattenaude, president and CEO at Ashford University. “We believe in the transformational power of education and it is rewarding to know we are helping students change their lives.”
